Sandler decided to tell Miranda about the discovery. She had distorted ideas about what had happened to the creatures. He had read stories suggesting that they had been sold somewhere. But it was really left as a mystery as to what had happened to them! Professor Farrell had avoided her questions, and she suspected that they might have been stolen. He could not even guess what her opinion was of the creatures that she had seen at the museum, in their cages. It was globally advertised as the world’s only exhibition of the only prehistoric animals in existence!

But, instead of telling her, he decided that he would just show her. When they reached the outside of the building, she stopped to examine the dully-lighted object. She then recognized it as the object that was below the creatures. When they went close, she saw its perfect shape.

A white light was brightly lighting the inside, through the entrance. It had been changed to it from the dull blue color.

She walked up the ramp extended from the entrance, which had been used by the Superbeing to enter and exit it.

When she saw Professor Farrell, with his piles of notes, at the table, she calmed down, and went towards him, looking about her.

“What is this for?” she asked, astonished at her surroundings.

“It is a voyager,” he replied.

“What are you using it for?”

“We discovered it beneath the creatures,” he replied, looking behind her at the Superbeing. “Have you met the owner?”

She turned around using only her legs, and the rest of her body remained rigid while she looked at it. Her eyes were so wide and delirious that Sandler was sure that she did not see it properly. She turned around to face Professor Farrell again, while she listened to the slightest sound from behind her.

“What are you going to do with it?”

“I have been studying its functions. There are many hidden secrets contained within this! It must be the greatest scientific discovery ever!”

“Where is it from?” she asked, calming slightly, and looking about her.

“It traveled here from beyond the stars!” he replied, looking over at Sandler at the entrance.

“Does it still work?”

“It has been fixed – and it is fully functioning.”

A hand gripped Sandler’s shoulder tightly, and pushed him to the ground.

“Gentlemen!” a man declared, as he waved a gun about, at them.

“Clunes, move him to the front!” another man with a gun ordered, as he crouched down and entered.

He pushed Sandler forward to the front. Then the other man, Clunes called Logan, followed them.

“So this is your new form of secret experimental stealth bomber. You did a good job of covering it up, professor!” Logan declared, as he looked about him, baffled at the many thousands of controls. “We saw it fly up the way – the other night ...”

The tall man stayed behind the fat man, determined and attempting to study it.

“What do you think its worth?” Clunes asked, staring like hawk over them. “We want to go up in it!”

They all remained grouped together about the table while the tall man examined it.
